The Photographer
Photography has always accompanied my need to discover and understand nature. But quickly, which was initially a tool for exploration has revealed an amazing medium of expression and especially a great tool for advocacy.
My dual training in biology (University of Lyon) and photography (Atelier Magenta - Private School of Photography) allows me to capture my subjects with both naturalistic and scientific knowledge needed to understand and respect my environment, but also with the necessary and essential sensitivity to the achievement of any photograph.
In my opinion, a nature photography needs to be more committed than ever. Our photographic projects should go further than simply conveying a message or information pleasantly packaged. The viewer should ask themselves some questions about his role and his relationship to nature.

La photographie a toujours accompagnée mon besoin de découverte et de compréhension de la nature. Mais rapidement, ce qui au départ était un outil d'exploration s'est révélé un étonnant moyen d'expression et surtout un formidable instrument de sensibilisation.
Ma double formation de Biologiste (Université de Lyon) et de photographe (Atelier Magenta - Ecole de photographie privée) me permet d'appréhender mes sujets avec à la fois les connaissances naturalistes et scientifiques nécessaires à la compréhension et au respect de mon environnement, mais aussi avec la sensibilité nécessaire et indispensable à la réalisation de toute photographie.
Pour moi, la photographie de nature se veut plus que jamais engagée. Nos projets photographiques ne doivent plus se contenter de transmettre un message ou une information emballés dans une composition plaisante. Elle doit aussi inciter le spectateur à se poser des questions sur son rôle et sa relation à la nature.
